The Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense turns 30 this year, and to celebrate, Brattle Theatre is screening the film at 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM on Friday, July 11. Directed by Jonathan Demme, the legendary feature captures the enthusiasm, spirit, and energy of Talking Heads in the most perfect preservation possible. Tina Weymouth is a bass boss, Chris Frantz is the happiest everyday-looking dude, Jerry Harrison will give you fro-envy, and David Byrne’s bizarre convulsions will get people dancing in the aisles (if not on their seats).
If you don’t understand why this is regarded as the best concert film ever made, now is the time to see why. Hurry and buy tickets here before both screenings sell out.
