It’s always a good time to support college radio and especially now because Pipeline!, WMBR’s long-running local music show, is celebrating 25 years on air. They’ve planned 13 shows around Boston featuring close to 80 acts — most of them reunited Boston-area bands from the past 50 years of local music history. They’ve got shows lined up at 5 different venues over the course of 5 weekends, September 12 to October 12. This is huge and a great opportunity to see what the local scene was like way back when Pipeline! began.

You can listen to Pipeline! every Tuesday evening 8 PM to 10 PM with host Jeff Breeze on MIT’s student-run radio station, WMBR 88.1 FM. If you don’t recognize any of the bands listed below, then do some research, kids, because tickets go on sale soon.
