The Julie Ruin Drop Limited Edition 7″

Kathleen Hanna’s project The Julie Ruin have just released “Blueberry Island”, a track that will be featured on the digital release of the soundtrack for the IFC bio pic about Hanna called The Punk Singer. It will also be made available as a limited edition 7” single featuring the “Right Home” (YACHT Remix) b-side via the Federal Prism Pop Up Store.

In other Hanna-centric news, Kathleen has donated her collection of zines to the Museum of Modern Art. An issue of her Bikini Kill zines will be on display as part of the exhibit  Making Music Modern: Design for Ear and Eye in the 3rd floor Philip Johnson Architecture and Design galleries at MoMA. The exhibition is on view now through November 1 of 2015.

But wait, there’s more! Kathleen also stars in a short film titled Myrna The Monster. The film, written and directed by Ian Samuels and produced under the umbrella of MTV(Other), will premiere at Sundance. Watch the trailer for Myrna The MonsterHERE.
