Carol’s debut EP, Softest Destroyer, finds the poet and songwriter building sonic spaces that are lush and downy, radiating from the artist and nestling into sun-soaked corners. Softest Destroyer allows Carol’s floating vocals to drive a reflection on the self, what we sacrifice to those we care for, and the power of vulnerability.
Dan Bejar’s music as Destroyer is poetic, challenging, and mysterious. The band’s live performance gives life to music, it’s like finally getting the chance to see the pieces of the puzzle up close. Bejar’s performance in particular is like seeing a magician pull off a trick that leaves you amazed at the end.
