A Marathon Mixtape Update

marathon2013final

A week ago, we had the great opportunity to release a 130-song mixtape to help benefit the victims of the Marathon tragedy. Since it’s release, the mixtape has helped generate a great deal of support, from the Boston music community and beyond. To put that support into one number, to this point, the mixtape has raised 7,500 dollars for the One Fund Boston.

Wow. Seriously, people. Awesome.

While $7,500 is more than we could have ever imagined, we are going to keep the mixtape up for donation-based download for 1 more week, with the goal of hitting $10,000. This means, the more you can keep spreading the word, donating, downloading, sharing the news with pals, and raving to them how cool it makes you feel, the better chance we have of hitting this goal! Here are some stats for ya:

Total Money Raised: $7,500

Total Downloads: 764 (751 of which were of the full mixtape)

Total Online Track Streams: 37,464

The Mixtape was also the top seller on Bandcamp last weekend and continues to remain in the top-selling category

A million thank you’s to all who have donated and supported thus far. This has been a huge community effort, and we couldn’t be more proud of all who have taken part in it. Also, a big thanks to all of the people who wrote and spread the word about the mixtape (links below), and to Bandcamp, for accommodating all 130 tracks and for reducing our fee! Keep downloading, folks, and stay strong, Boston!
