Alex Bleeker and the Freaks Set for East Coast Jam

Real Estate bassist Alex Bleeker has a side project- Alex Bleeker and the Freaks. Idk, do we think Matt Mondanile’s solo name, Ducktails, deserves even more cool points as a band name? Bleeker’s more personal material includes:  a self titled  7″ on Group Tightener, a self titled Freaks LP via Underwater People, and most recently a LP titled How Far Away, put out by Woodsist. As I mentioned in my mediocre Real Estate review, I am a big fan of Bleeker- when he is the frontman on Real Estate songs, and especially when he’s leading the Freaks. The band is about to set out on a mini east coast tour- all dates are below. Their Boston stop is at the Middlesex Lounge in Central on April 20th. How do you make a chill day even chiller, HA! They’re also playing at The Elevens in Northampton on May 1st. Don’t overlook the THREE shows in Maine!
