As is the case, the folks at Allston Pudding figured all the newbies (and probably some of us olds) might need a reminder that there are some sick gigs and events coming up this fall. Sheer Queer Fest is finally here! This year’s fest will be a benefit for SWOP Boston, which runs community support and harm reduction services as well as participates in activism and advocacy to defend the human rights of sex workers- including fight against white supremacy, male supremacy, transmisogyny, and homophobia. All the bands participating are all local or regional so hell yeah.

1st Annual ONCE FEST happens this weekend! Just months after ONCE Somerville, one of the area’s last independently-owned music venues, was burglarized, they’re springing back with this fest. Hop to it and help this magical venue continue the magic. Featured artists include: Funeral Advantage, Kindling, Future Teens, Cosmic Johnny, Banana Tuft, Bad Larrys, T-T)b, Gia Greene and more.

Together Festival has done it again: seven nights of electronic music and arts in the Boston area. This fest covers both sides of the spectrum and everything in between– from ambient electronic artist Jon Hopkins who headlines the Sinclair on the 26th to disco/techno producer The Black Madonna at Zone 3 on the 29th.
