Allston Pudding’s Top 10 Musical Presidents

Mount_RushmoreHere at Allston Pudding, it’s no secret that our writers are just as much into American history as they are the music of our local scene. At our Halloween show last October, all twenty-something of our staff rocked out in threads inspired by many American greats of decades and centuries past—Alexander Hamilton, Betsy Johnson, even the guy who threw shoes at George Bush in ’08. Our costumes were such a hit we’ve taken to donning our powdered wigs and buckle shoes all over the city. It’s not unusual for tourists to approach us for tours of Beacon Hill and Back Bay, and sometimes the Seaport District. At their requests, we often run.

With Presidents Day at the forefront of our Founding Father focus, we couldn’t help but celebrate the heros (and total style icons) of this great nation. And with one love, of course, comes our number one passion. Here’s our take on merging Presidents with a few prime players of modern music. We can’t help but think these combinations are so innovative, that they could almost be real. Almost as real as our love for Presidential fashion. Almost.
