Earlier this year Laura Jane Grace of longtime punk rockers Against Me! released an acoustic EP that I cannot stop listening to. The True Trans Rebel EP was the first taste of the new era of AM! fronted by one truly brave soul. The band announced today that their highly-anticipated sixth full-length album, order Transgender Dysphoria Blues, diagnosis will be released on January 21, cialis 2014 under their own label Total Trebel.

Last month Laura Jane Grace did a short stint of solo show around the North East and played an unforgettable and intimate show at Brighton Music Hall. While hitting all of the classics, Laura treated us to a good amount of new material and let me tell you – good things are on the way.

When the True Trans Rebel EP came out (for free download, thank you Laura!), I remember hearing the first note of “FUCKMYLIFE666”, hearing Laura’s voice – not Tom’s – and shamelessly tearing up. Her voice may be subtly different, her clothes may change – but that talent is eternal.

Recorded at Studio 606, Earth Sound Studio, Motor Studio, Total Treble Studio and mixed by Billy Bush (Garbage, Muse, Tegan and Sara) and explores “one’s grappling with gender dysphoria, the loss of a young friend and pure self discovery, as well as love and ultimate acceptance,” according to the band’s press release.
