Amid a flurry of  guerrilla promotion including blimps, sidewalk graffiti and deep web searches, cult-electronic mastermind Richard D. James, better known as Aphex Twin, has announced a new album, SYRO, due out this year. Although there was no clear-cut press announcement or album release date, the information was revealed via a deep web search, (which is now not so deep, the link is right here) from Aphex Twin’s twitter account. The new music will be the first we’ve heard from Aphex Twin since 2001’s Drukqs.
