At long last, Rochester rockers Attic Abasement have released their new split album with Nod. The album is available digitally and on vinyl over on Bandcamp. It’s been four years since Attic Abasement’s last album, Dancing is Depressing was released, and this split with Nod serves as a natural progression. You’ll hear some of the same heavy but sparing guitar work that made Dancing Is Depressing so legendary on tracks like “Pretty Teeth” and “Littlest Things” matched with louder, denser songs like “Will This Give Me Cancer Or Not” and “Talk.” All in all, it’s a balanced record that shows growth while maintaining the energy and thoughtfulness that longtime listeners will appreciate.
