Aye Nako Release “White Noise”, Announce New EP

Brooklyn’s Aye Nako is back with what is already one of our most anticipated EPs of the summer, The Blackest Eye, on Don Giovanni Records this August. Eye follows their incredible 2013 full-length, Unleash Yourself, which served multi-purpose as “perfect summer music” and “the kind of empowering punk that’ll make you feel more confident in unfriending those racist/sexist acquaintances from Facebook.”

“White Noise”, the first single off of Eye, is a far more jagged, shredding affair than anything the band has ever touched before. Taking aim at the recent state of rhetoric against race-related protesting, singer Mars Dixon shows zero mercy towards racist apologists. “I don’t give a darn shit about it / I’ve let the white noise fuzz in my head for so long,” Dixon snarls over squealing guitar work, their aim set on bruising far more than a black eye.

“White Noise” can be heard ahead of Blackest Eye‘s August 10th release. Aye Nako will be playing at Smash It Dead Fest this weekend in Cambridge with all proceeds going towards Boston Area Rape Crisis Center
