Last Tuesday night, Great Scott’s bill featured new releases, upcoming material, and three strong sets, starting with Boston locals Honey Cutt. The recent Kanine Records signees gave the audience a sample of some of their upcoming work, including their soon to be released single, “Suburban Dream.” They were followed by a highly anticipated set from French Vanilla, who had been unable to play Boston last year due to travel related difficulties, and the group didn’t disappoint. Coming off of their June release, How Am I Not Myself?, the band had a handful of new songs to share in the live setting. Highlights included material from their 2017 self-titled album, crowd favorite “Carrie,” as well as a cover of Abba’s “SOS.” Last up was Stef Chura, who was celebrating the release of her latest LP, Midnight. She ended her set with a gripping performance of “Scream,” but after finishing the song, the crowd kept up their applause until she came back on stage for a two song encore.
