Last spring amidst Brown Bird’s national tour promoting their latest album Fits of Reason, Dave Lamb was diagnosed with leukemia. To assist Dave and Morganeve–his counterpart in the prized Rhode Island tag-team– in tackling the accumulating medical expenses, a tribute show was held at Club Passim on Monday. Fellow folk musician Ian Fitzgerald curated the event, assembling 14 acts from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut to each perform one Brown Bird song.
The lineup included The Low Anthem, Jonah Tolchin, Dan Blakeslee,Audrey Ryan, Chadley Kolb (of Coyote Kolb), Jenee Halstead, Haunt the House, Patrick Coman, James Maple, Eric Michael Lichter, Vudu Sister, Brian Carroll, Allysen Callery, and Ian Fitzgerald.
