It’s always nice to see a hometown hero top a bill for a Friday night show at the city’s newest venue. That’s what’ll be going down at freshly opened Roadrunner (just about a month old) on April 22nd, when Cousin Stizz will headline a stacked lineup of mostly local hip-hop artists.
Stizz has been back to touring life, finally getting the chance to flesh out his live set since dropping the phenomenal album Trying to Find My Next Thrill in 2019 and it’s follow up Just For You earlier this year. In the meantime, he’s dropped a slew of singles that perfectly showcase why he is one of Boston’s emergent rappers, gaining recognition on a national level as well as on the home turf. It will be great to catch him on a larger stage like the one at Roadrunner.
Also featured are Tony Shhnow, Michael Christmas, SuperSmashBroz, AllYouCanEat, the incomparable OG Swaggerdick, and Messy Money Sav. So ya, get out to this gig if you’re as in love with Boston hip-hop as we are (and you should be, nerds). There are still plenty of tickets available, so get yours here.
