Deerhunter‘s new album, Monomania, is out today on 4AD. Many folks have already listened to it, thanks to an album leak a few weeks ago, but if you haven’t, it is truly divine, let me tell ya! Bradford Cox and co. have always strived to approach each project differently, and Monomania, while definitely zany, is the perfect amount of different. It incorporates some cool lo-fi recording sounds, and retains a lot of simple pop brilliance. On top of today’s release, the band has announced a summer/fall tour that will make a stop in Boston.
