Local soul man Jesse Dee is back with another full-length album, On My Mind/In My Heart on Alligator Records. The singer’s signature wail is backed on this record by an all-star band including local standouts like Johnny Trama and the Aruda brothers. Just like last album, Jesse Dee continues with horn-heavy warmly vintage funk jams, but this time, the record was handled with a bit more TLC thanks to some sessions with Jack Younger at Boston’s Watch City Studios.
