The Both, Aimee Mann and Ted Leo’s endlessly listenable collaboration, have gotten ahead of themselves and dropped a Christmas song, “Nothing Left To Do (Let’s Make This Christmas Blue)”. Despite the fact that it’s coming out before Thanksgiving (c’mon guys, can’t you at least wait until after Thanksgiving??) the song is a sweet, sad and heartfelt ode to that creeping feeling of remorse that can accompany holiday festivities, and will definitely be a welcome addition to your alternative winter playlist. In addition, The Both have announced a holiday tour, including a stop in Boston that will feature geek-folk pioneer Jonathan Coulton. Stream the track and peep the dates below.
