Eskimeaux Drops “Broken Necks” Single

Brooklyn-based Eskimeaux released the first single off their upcoming album, O.K., today via Double Double Whammy. The single, “Broken Necks,” dropped in its original demo form back in 2013 off the group’s Igluenza and still contains all its charm with some added polished bop. Eskimeaux brainchild Gabrielle Smith’s lyricism crosses somewhere in limbo between disheartening and lovable, repeatedly singing, “While you were breaking your neck trying to keep your head up / I was breaking my neck just to stick it out for you.”

You can check out the brand new track over at Stereogum along with an interview with Smith. Don’t forget to pre-order O.K. before it’s released on 5/12 and stream the first iteration of “Broken Necks” below.
