FIDLAR Announce Second Album; Share “40oz On Repeat” Video

unnamed-1

Los Angeles band FIDLAR, who you might remember for their Nick Offerman-starring best music video of all time, have announced their second album. Not-so-subtly titled Too, the 12-song LP was recorded in just two weeks in Nashville and marks the first time the rockin foursome have worked with a producer (Jay Joyce, who has previously worked with The Wallflowers, Emmylou Harris and Cage the Elephant).

“We could have made record number one again… but instead we decided to challenge ourselves and admit that we don’t know everything,” says frontman Zac Carper. “Up until this point we had recorded everything ourselves, so working with a producer taught us so much. I didn’t want to make a standard rock record. The goal for this album was to think outside the box and I think Jay really helped us do that.”

The band have also shared the video for lead single “40oz On Repeat.” While not quite hitting the highs of the urine-soaked “Cocaine” (seriously, that video ruled) it takes an entertaining Be Kind Rewind approach, crafting wonderfully bootleg takes on a variety of classic 90s clips. For better or worse, Zac Cooper dressed as schoolgirl-era Britney Spears is an image that won’t leave you any time soon.

If all that wasn’t enough, FIDLAR have also announced a tour in support of Too, including a stop at September’s iteration of Boston Calling. Peep the Dates Below.
