Foxing and Now, Now Join Forces for Powerful Boston Performance

Foxing arrived at Royale last weekend for the Boston stop of their joint tour with Minnesota duo Now, Now and Tennessee natives Daddy Issues. After an energetic kickoff set by Daddy Issues, Now, Now eagerly hopped on stage to perform songs from their long awaited new album, Saved. Frontwoman Cacie Dalager danced around to synth-powered beats and catchy yet powerful melodies, throwing off her beanie to let her vibrantly orange hair twirl along with her to the music.

Foxing ended the night with an emotional set filled with beautiful lighting and passionate sound. The band performed in front of a screen displaying the four horses that decorate the cover of their latest record, Nearer My God. They started their set with “Grand Paradise,” the lead-off track on their new album, followed by a powerful version of “The Medic,” the hit song from their first album, The Albatross. Throughout the show, frontman Conor Murphy sang with so much heart that he repeatedly lost hold of his glasses. Likewise, guitarists Ricky Sampson and Eric Hudson also gave it their all, as they thrashed around the stage and hoisted up their guitars. The boys wrapped up the night with Nearer My God’s self-titled single, leaving the audience satisfied with the highly memorable performance.
