Get A Proper Dose of Morrissey in Cambridge

Next Wednesday Moz fans all over town will unite for an evening of celebration of their favorite vegetarian songwriter. First up, at the Brattle Theatre, join our bud from Vanyaland as he presents a special one-off screening of Morrissey 25: Live From Hollywood High. The film chronicles Morrissey’s intimate performance at Hollywood High School in front of 1800 fans– an event that celebrated his 25 years as a solo artist and sold out completely in 12 seconds. Now you have the chance to experience the 19-song set from the comfort of Cambridge’s best theatre. Tickets to this screening are a mere 11 dollars and can be purchased here.

The Morrissey madness doesn’t end there though. When you’re done at the Brattle, cab it over to TT’s for a massive Moz tribute afterparty. As part of TT’s 40th anniversary celebration, the event will bring together Chris Ewen, resident DJ for Heroes and Xmortis, with The Pill’s leading man, and Vanyaland brainchild Michael Marotta. The night will also feature Unhappy Birthday, the local Morrissey tribute band featuring members of The Sheila Divine, Good North, Dirty Truckers, and Helicopter Helicopter. There is no cover for this show, so there is no excuse for you not to go. Morrissey doesn’t like much of anything at all, but he would love for you to be a part of this special night.
