One year from their self-titled’s first drop, Ghost Thrower is back with a silky smooth retake on their 2013 full length from Disposable America. As stated on Facebook, Ghost Thrower‘s previous release was a rushed one, a move made hasty by excitement, anxiety, and deadlines commanded by forces beyond their control. While the true power behind those forces may remain vague and secret (aliens?), the band is certain to give fans a refresher with songs mirroring the quality known to their lengthy discography.

Part Boston based with a slash of new York, and the slightest touch of Cali, Ghost Thrower tends towards the sound of their influences. Fan of Jawbreaker, into Brand New? Look to these boys to work with similar themes of love, heartbreak and Halloween, all wrapped up in an alty pop-punk guitar riffs and classic 50’s harmonies.

And whadya know? Fans who purchased Ghost Thrower anytime in the last year can email the band and receive a copy of the remaster immediately. Talk about instant gratification. Order the album from their bandcamp and receive a b-o-n-u-s four acoustic tracks to listen to while crying about frontman Travis Alexander’s take on “Here We Are: The Pale Blue Dot,” a somber bit he contributed to their label’s recent Allston Pudding feature, “What’s Your Favorite Sad Video?”
