Boston’s Eksi Ekso are set and ready to release their new record, Archfiend, a week from today. The trio worked with Scott Solter, the producer behind albums that have ranged from St. Vincent to Spoon, to construct their new full-length, and already released one single, “Gold Cures,” to favorable reviews. Today, here and only here, you can listen to another tune from the album, “The Ragtag Brigade.” The tune sheds a bit of their electronic sheen, but maintains true pop sensibility, and lets the lead vocals of Tom Korkidis soulfully punch through. There’s a different artistic element to this band that has progressively become more evident in their recordings, and based on this tune and “Gold Cures,” this album is shaping up to be their best yet.
