thee

From the announcements of our very own Boston Calling to Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, cialis there’s no denying that festival season is upon us. If your festival fever has distracted you from checking out some of the rad acts hitting town in the upcoming months, site we got you covered with January’s final week of tour announcements:

ScHoolboy Q (Wilbur, 3/2)
Quincy Matthew Hanley has been generating quite a bit of buzz lately under his stage name ScHoolboy Q, who has worked with everyone in hip-hop’s freshest game from A$AP Rocky to Kendrick Lamar. His major label debut Oxymoron drops in late February, prompting the rising rapper to kick off a world tour this March. He’ll be stopping at the Wilbur with Isaiah Rashad and Vince Staples, who hit the Sinclair in October with Earl Sweatshirt.

Throwing Muses (Sinclair, 3/7)
Reppin’ East Coast alt-rock since 1981, Throwing Muses are playing a string of shows in support of their ninth studio album Purgatory/Paradise, which was the product of a 10 year hiatus. Supporting the Newport, RI trio is former co-founder Tanya Donelly, who split from the band in ‘91 to work with The Breeders and Belly. If you can’t wait to watch them rock the Sinclair in March, check out the interactive book that frontwoman Kristen Hersh released to accompany the band’s latest release.

Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra (Middle East Downstairs, 4/6)
If you’re familiar with the experimental sounds of Godspeed You! Black Emperor then I’m certain you’ve heard of the anarchic Thee Silver Mt. Zion. In support of their recently released seventh album Fuck Off Get Free We Pour Light On Everything, this post-rock five piece be hitting several venues throughout Europe and America, including a Cambridge stop in early April.

Trust (Great Scott, 4/11)
If there’s one thing we don’t get enough of in Allston, it’s gritty Canadian synthpop. Luckily Toronto’s Trust is releasing their gothy sophomore effort Joyland on March 4th and touring the good ol’ US of A immediately after. Check out recently dropped single “Rescue, Mister” below for a taste of what Robert Alfons has been up to since 2012’s debut TRST:

Jeremy Jay (TT the Bears, 5/7)
This indie pop singer-songwriter has been filling our ears with new wave inspired tunes since 2007. The LA-London transplant dropped his latest album Abandoned Apartments last week and plans to hit America in support of it this May.
