Whether your Valentine’s Day was totally rad or a complete bummer, the following acts are guaranteed to make your day much better. Full of gritty female-fronted punk, this week’s list of announcements is a little more DIY and a lot more awesome:

Potty Mouth (Great Scott, 3/8)
Seeing Potty Mouth at Great Scott regularly is a Bostonian’s privilege and now the rest of the country gets to see what we’ve been raving about. The Northampton four-piece’s first full US tour kicks off in May with support from Swearin’, Fleabite, and Waxahatchee.

Permanent Ruin (TBA, 3/16)
Need more raw female-fronted punk in your life? Check out California’s dynamic Permanent Ruin, who are hitting a handful of East Coast venues next month in support of their latest EP San Jose. Their tour will wrap up at the end of the month with their appearance at Cambridge’s Smash it Dead Fest.

Priests (TBA, 4/6)
Known for intense live performances and a catalog of stellar punk tunes, DC’s Priests have recently joined the impressive Don Giovanni roster (along with Screaming Females, Waxahatchee, California X, etc.) and are embarking on a rad tour with UK punks Good Throb.

Danny Brown (Paradise, 4/9)
In support of 2013’s critically acclaimed OldDanny Brown will be bringing his quirky sounds to various cities throughout the US and Europe this spring. Prior to this announcement, the Detroit rapper gave insight into the music industry through a passionate twitter rant that is definitely worth taking a look at while you buy tickets to his show at the ‘Dise this April.

Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks (Brighton Music Hall, 4/22)
If you have ever wondered what would happen if you mixed bits of Animal Collective with some Dirty Projectors and Ponytail, you’re in luck – Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks just announced the April 7th release of their debut album and an accompanying tour a week later. Check out “Little Fang” below to hear the match made in musical heaven:

Morrissey (Opera House, 6/7)
One cannot compile a list of impressive tour announcements without mentioning Moz, so in case you missed it, the former Smiths frontman will be playing the Opera House this June and several other North American dates.
