What does your company do?
I aim to provide a quality product for bands who are out there working hard and making music that I love. A slick physical representation that rocks as much as the songs is what I strive to achieve.
Ever since I started getting into underground music at the age of 13, I’d become enamored with DIY small labels. In particular, I thought (and still think) Asian Man Records is the coolest thing in the world. The root of it all is helping people who I think could benefit from an extra hand. It all contributes towards strengthening a music community, which is one of the most special and sacred things that can exist. Through years of envisioning what I would eventually do after I was done touring in bands, everything came to life in Boston. The music scene was thriving and it was really inspiring. I also noticed a few other small labels in the area that were putting out some of the best bands I’d ever heard. I wanted to be a part of that. I think it’s really important that bands who are out there playing as much as possible and writing great music have someone to help them with their vision of a physical medium that aligns with their songs.
Cave In, People in Cars, Signal Hill, Minus the Bear, Gifts From Enola, Faraquet/Medications, Krill (but I could nerd out for hours on a few hundred more…).
