Kendrick Lamar is allegedly being sued by pianist Eric Reed and drummer Willie Jones III, two jazz musicians who who claim Lamar stole their music for his song “Rigamortis,” a track from his 2011 breakout, Section.80. According to Reed and Jones, “Rigamortis” features music “The Thorn,” the first song from Jones’ 2010 The Next Phase. In the lawsuit, the two musicians claim Lamar didn’t just sample their song but, took it and rapped over it. Neither Reed nor Jones were credited on the album and are now suing for at least $1 million, as well as all rights to and profits from “Rigamortis.

What a way to kill his vibe.
