Since 2010, the beautiful people at the Compass have been supplying us with hyper-local news monthly through the good ol’ fashioned print medium. It has always been completely free and intends on continuing to be for the rest of its existence, but unfortunately the ability for us to snag a physical copy in our favorite hang-outs is difficult to regularly produce.
The volunteer-driven publication is expanding its pages and content, leading towards a growth in costs as well. Ads and sponsors only cover roughly a third of the costs, which is why the Compass is now turning to its readers for financial support.
Contributing as little as $2 a month through its Patron21 account will ensure the survival of the independent newspaper and possibly aid it in further expansion. Let’s keep our underground scene thriving by giving the Compass a hand in its time of need.
