Just when we thought ourselves stuck in the middle of yet another blasé work week, Kim Deal hits us with a new single and makes us feel otherwise. Behold, “Biker Gone,” a tune rampant with the tart, breathy voice we fell in love with while listening to tunes like “Gigantic” and “Break My Body.” The former Pixies bassist released  Biker Gone 7″, the fifth installment in the Kim Deal 7″ Solo Series with Breeder bandmate (and sister), guitarist Kelley Deal and Britt Walford of 90’s math rockers, Slint. The record consists of tracks “Biker Gone” and B-side, “Beautiful Moon.” The “Biker Gone” video portrays the trio performing the single at a biker’s funeral. This, alongside shots of the band playing the part of host and server, checking funeral-goers into the somber event, and later serving attendees from a buffet line of visibly mediocre food. A weird dream, but still somewhat realistic as the band sticks to their cool, while Kim plucks the name-tag off her polyester apron and uses it as a bass slide.  All this and we have to ask, can Deal play our funeral too?
