If you’re into talented English singer/songwriters than you, my friend, are in luck. Today Laura Marling unveiled the title track of her upcoming release, Short Movie. The album will be Marling’s fifth in seven years, further cementing this UK darling’s spot in modern folk infamy. Short Film is set to his March 24 via Ribbon Music.

Like most of Marling’s work, this tune possesses the ability to be equally zealous as it is supportive. The classic Marling build is there too, beautifully assembling soon after the singer mutters, “what the hell,” in the early moments of song. From here the rest is stunning, as if the blonde songstress has allowed her instruments to run while watching from a confident distance. She is always in control.

The song comes into play with an O’Keeffe-style video, where a line of paint quickly becomes a horse running through the desert. The pastel-hued short couldn’t help reminding us of Amby and Dexter, mostly in it’s constant motion, water-color tones, and the softness of something good to come. Watch the Art & Graft below, followed by the album’s foreseeably brilliant tracklist.
