Local musician trying to find a connect? Vinyl addict craving recognition from your suppliers? Bored with nothing to do? If you answered yes to one or all of these questions, you should attend the networking event,  “Off the Record (Store)”, hosted by Boston Scene Party next Wednesday, July 8th at O’Brien’s Pub.

Kicking off at 6pm, the event contains a session for mingling and drinking (which, scientists hypothesize, increases mingling), a paneled discussion from local record store owners, and live music, presented by Grayskull Booking, from Spitting Black, Damien The Cat, A Raven Among Doves and It Destroys And Kills.

The paneled discussion with record store owners will feature topics such as:

  • The history of record stores in America and how the resurgence of vinyl and boutique labels has affected stores today.
  • Avenues of revenue record stores have turned to in order to keep themselves infused with the community and music industry.
  • How musicians can work with local stores to create a mutually beneficial relationship.

Yes I did copy and paste that from their website.

Which is also the website to RSVP! Check out that and their Facebook page for more information.
