The Mowglis, the Southern Californian darlings of last year’s festival circuit and of monster hit “San Francisco” are paying it forward in a last-minute announced show at Great Scott in Allston at 5:30 tonight (details here). They’ll be performing a pop-up acoustic set at the venue with a suggested donation of ten dollars or more at the door, one hundred percent of which heads straight on over to The One Fund to continually aid those affected by the Marathon Bombings a year ago.
If you’re reading this now, put on some damn pants and get out the door, because doors and show are at 5:30 and this band is on a quick ascent, so Great Scott is bound to fill quickly. If this is your first Mowgli’s show, get ready to be uplifted in spite of yourself and have any given track from their debut album stuck in your head for days upon days. Donate generously and dance copiously– music heals, people!
