After the passing of garage rock prince Jay Reatard, I didn’t think another faux-British accented punk act could sway my heart again. Alas, Nervosas are admirable challengers and their newest LP might be the album to do the job.

The self-titled LP takes the Ohio outfit’s penchant for post-hardcore by way of European-bred post-punk and absolutely trashes everything in their wake. Songs like lead single “Night Room” and “Industry” were practically tailor-made for Fourth of July debauchery and slightly illegal fireworks (but nothing too illegal, folks… hi, cops)
