The Alabama Shakes have announced the the release date of their highly anticipated sophomore album entitled Sound and Color and shared the first track “Don’t Wanna Fight”. The album, in which they recruited Blake Mills to help produce, comes in the wake of Boys and Girls which was released in 2012 on ATO Records to critical acclaim with both indie and mainstream audiences. Following massive tours that took the band around the world, along three Grammy nominations and a performance that declared front-woman Brittany Howard’s status as a powerhouse vocalist and songwriter, the Shakes’ seem poised for a big return in 2015.
