Above all, most “folks” can trust this: Juan Wauters is himself and will probably remain super Uruguay-swung-NYC ’til the recording runs out. So, with his new track “She Might Get Shot,” everyone’s favorite hombre remains authentic to…well…remaining authentic.

Paying casual homage to both lands, Wauters just released the song’s English version and Spanish version in anticipation of his sophomore album Who Me? out May 12 on Captured Tracks. Judging from the simplicity of “She Might Get Shot,” the bashfully titled album should draw from fans a familiar sway and conclusive answer: Yes YOU Juan. Who else would it be?
