Behold “New World,” the first single off Grammar’s forthcoming self-titled debut. This Somerville band is brainchild of Barrie Lindsay’s mind-blowing senior thesis: a 15-piece orchestral chamber pop group. Once graduated, Lindsay’s method was reorganized towards the paraphrased we hear today. Alongside a handful of twinkling covers Grammar gives listeners “New World,” a minimalist electro-pop melody with equal parts calamity and coolness.
