New track from Speedy Ortiz, “Doomsday”

Boston favorites Speedy Ortiz hit us with “Doomsday”, a new track from Famous Class’ LAMC series 7″split. The series was named in memory of Ariel Panero, dear friend and a partner of the label.

Famous Class says this of Panero:

“The series gets its name from the epic Less Artists More Condos concerts that Ariel threw, showcasing amazing bands in some strange and unique venues. Ariel’s driving force was a desire to get the bands he believed in the recognition he felt they deserved. This series simply tries to honor that idea.”

For each LAMC split 7” the label asks a favorite bands to provide  n unreleased track for the split’s A-side. In turn, those band’s ask their favorite emerging artist to provide a track for the B-side. The track is available on the label’s bandcamp page with 100% of the digital proceeds going to the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at Vh1 Save the Music.

The last B-side includes Speedy Ortiz’s noteworthy track- made even more perfect for it’s timing with the first day of 2014’s spookiest month.
