PHOTOS: Foxing Bring Cinematic Lighting and a New Record to The Sinclair

In celebration of their new record, Nearer My God, Foxing played to a sold out crowd at The Sinclair on Sunday night with support from Ratboys and Kississippi.

The night’s two openers both played strong sets, with Kississippi’s including the song “Indigo” and fan favorite, “Cut Yr Teeth.” Ratboys played many songs from their last full length release, GN, and as well as from their more recent EP, GL. During “Crying About the Planets,” the lights in The Sinclair turned blue, complimenting the song’s icy themes.

The show’s headliner, Foxing, took to the stage in matching long sleeve white shirts under the glow of their own cinematic lighting setup. The group’s stage presence was captivating from beginning to end, with vocalist Conor Murphy making use of almost the entire stage. Foxing’s live performance mixed some older songs and a hefty amount of material from their new record, closing out with “Rory.” Despite many of the tracks only being weeks old, fans in the crowd sang along as if they’d known the songs for years.
