Early last week, California alt-rockers Night Rights returned to Boston with Silent Rival and courtship. joining them as opening acts. And while the crowd at Brighton Music Hall was on the smaller side, the Night Riots fans more than made up for their lack of numbers with their energy. After a short but lively set from LA Based Silent Rival, synth pop duo courtship. kept the crowd going until Night Riots took the stage.

From the moment Night Riots opened with their 2016 single, “Nothing Personal,” to their last song, it was obvious that the crowd knew every word to every song and intended to sing along. Overall, Night Riots mostly performed songs off their newest album, Love Gloom, but included some older songs, as well as a cover of “Wonderwall.” Frontman Travis Hawley kept the crowd engaged throughout the entire set, and the band ended the night with catchy synth tune, “Contagious.”
