Tons of folks turned out for a sold out Tacocat show, on a weeknight at Great Scott. The colorful Seattle based punk band played alongside touring partners Gymshorts, and local dream punks Leopard Print Taser. The night featured energetic sets end to end, and felt much more like a weekend gig than a late Tuesday night.

The opening sets from Leopard Print Taser and Gymshorts’ powerful sets complimented each other. Leopard Print Taser’s setlist included one unreleased track, and a Gymshorts worked in a shout out to their touring buddies Tacocat during their song “Copycat.”

Tacocat’s set didn’t disappoint. Fully equipped with colorful outfits, a tambourine and a generally lively stage presence fans were left more than satisfied. Tracks like “Hey Girl” and “Dana Scully” were some of the highlights, and the encore performance of “I Hate the Weekend” felt like a fitting ending to a mid-week show.
