Local punks Yeehaw! have a new EP to share with us, aptly titled “Rock Songs”, and we have a new track from said EP, titled “McDonalds” to share with you. The track features pounding power chords and riffs overlaid with misanthropic woes about the repetitiveness of the minimum-wage job life and – you guessed it – fast food. We can neither confirm nor deny that said fast-food chain was inspired by one of the very same name on the corner of Harvard and Commonwealth Avenues, but we will venture to say that if you’ve ever questioned the meaning of life while chowing down on some McNuggets as you wait for a 66 bus that may never arrive, you can probably relate to “McDonalds.”

Yeehaw! is also headed out on a summer tour to support the new material, which includes a 7/24 record release kickoff gig at the Democracy Center in Cambridge, so if you’re into “McDonalds,” head to the show to hear more new tracks, as well as performances from Just Friends, Perspective, a lovely hand to hold, Choke Up, and Hoover Flags.
