Get ready to start a mosh pit at the House of Blues this week! Up-and-coming Californian rapper, Buddy, will be stopping in Boston on July 27th, joining IDK to open for A$AP Ferg on his Mad Man tour. Originally set for April 12, A$AP Ferg announced in late March that he would be postponing the rest of his tour until the summer, leaving Boston fans in anticipation for several months.
24-year-old Simmie Sims III, aka Buddy, was signed by Pharrell Williams at the young age of 15, propelling his rise to the forefront of the rap realm as Pharrell introduced him to artists such as Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Ferg. Since then, he has released the EP, Ocean & Montana, made with producer Kaytranada, and has been featured by the likes of A$AP Mob, Wiz Khalifa, Chance the Rapper, and many more.
Buddy released his debut album, Harlan & Alondra, on Cool Lil Company, LLC/RCA Records earlier this week, which includes hit single “Black,” featuring A$AP. So whether you’ve been waiting months or you still haven’t bought tickets, this is going to be a show you’re not going to want to miss.
