Rub your eyes all you want because this is happening at a dance-floored venue near YOU.

The Juliana Hatfield Three and Potty Mouth will grace Somerville’s Cuisine en Locale this Sunday (4/19) as the powerhouse pair of trios that we know and love for very different reasons. It’s like our three wishes got doubled through a glitch in the system. Praise be to glitches in the system. Get the info here.

Nostalgic and fun-loving, The Juliana Hatfield Three is inherently a must-see. The trio came back onto the scene this year with Whatever, My Love, a full-length of perfectly titled tracks that make just choosing one a guided process. See “I’m Shy” and “I Don’t Know What to Do with My Hands” for some clear, relatable examples.

Complimentary to the group’s otherwise ’90s discography, this album near perfectly welcomes the Three into the 21st century. It listens like a diary influenced by soft tinges of The Breeders and how it feels to break up, make up and be indifferent to someone. Hatfield’s voice is bright and ridiculously clean. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear it all live.

As if that wouldn’t suffice, Northampton’s own Potty Mouth will be opening with plenty of souring vocals and hard-hitting tracks that already have our love and respect. There’s no easy way to describe the trio, but the fact that their 2013 album HELL BENT still sits as a go-to for all emotionally alternative needs has to say something. The group is set to play three shows with Hatfield in the northeast, with this being the second. SO, you also have the options of hitting up The Iron Horse (Northampton) on Saturday (4/18) and Columbus Theatre (Providence) on Tuesday (4/21).

Do yourself the favor of spending Sunday right. Hit up Cuisine en Locale this weekend for the two awesome trios you wished for. Stay for the tunes. Leave satisfied. It’s as simple as 1-2-3.
