Philip Selway is best known as the drummer for musical titan Radiohead, but his excellent and often overlooked solo career (Selway has released two solo albums, Familial in 2010, and an EP, Running Blind, the following year) is only becoming more promising. Selway released a new track today on Soundcloud, entitled “Coming Up For Air,” a sneak preview of what’s to come on his upcoming album Weatherhouse, set for release on October 7th. The new track is smooth, dark, and very fresh, with Selway’s soft voice gliding through a slick bass line like oil over water. Listen in.
