See a New Video from Dutch ReBelle for “Ammo” and “Freddie”

Boston’s Queen of hip hop, Dutch ReBelle, is not one to limit herself creatively. Not only does the emcee have a mixtape and an EP to her name in just a couple years of recording, but she’s the sole female member of the hip hop collective known as Famous Nobodies Crew, and one of the co-founders of The Black Roses, a group of creative female entrepreneurs in Boston.

Today, Dutch has released a new video that features two songs off of last year’s Married to the Music EP. The first, “Ammo (feat. Ras Beans),” combines flavorful production with a message of strength, and features a toasting-style verse from St. Thomas dancehall artist Ras Beans. The latter track, “Freddie,” is named for Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs, but captures a woman’s perspective on pushing through tough situations. The video itself is a 5 and a half minute epic brought to life by Seba Films.

Dutch ReBelle, to me, is one of the more powerful figures in Boston music right now. Our local hip hop scene is storming, and she’s right at the top. Check out this video, keep an eye out for Famous Nobodies’ new release, and keep supporting Boston hip hop.
