Skinny Bones to Release Noise Floor Remix Record on Valentine’s Day

Jamaica Plain folktronica duo Skinny Bones put out their debut full-length Noise Floor last year to excellent reviews. They toy with tempo, time signature, and tone, roping in everyday objects and turning them in to niche instruments that fit perfectly in their sound. It’s the kind of music that’s rich with acoustic toys, so when another musician stumbles upon it, it’s hard not to fall in love. Now it seems someone couldn’t help themselves and decided to do some remixes… for the entire record.

The remix album, titled Noise Floor RMX, will come out on February 14 according to their Facebook post. If that’s not the way to your heart, think again. “~ when people you adore remix your record it is an act of true luv ~” they wrote. It’s a flattering moment, and the fact that listeners get to reap the benefits may just be the best part of it all.
