In short: Animal Flag’s “St. Cecilia’s” is for Bright Eyes fans that are sick of being sad. Lead singer Matt Politoski’s comfortable vocals are set over a bit of non-traditional instrumentation for an indie rock outfit, increasingly featuring the slide guitar throughout the track. His lyrics are prolific as ever declaring, “Iʼve over heard a number of conversations / Of people bitching about the rain / So Iʼve learned to love the storm clouds and hazy weather / Cause Itʼs just another thing we canʼt change.” Even without a chorus to hook you, this song is easy to fall into for new and old fans alike.  “St. Cecilia’s” will be featured on Animal Flag’s self-titled EP that drops on September 9.
