Alas, it’s here. Our favorite weird rock trio Krill are putting out their third full-length, A Distant Fist Unclenching, next week via Exploding in Sound. In anticipation of its release, they’re streaming it in full across the pond over at NME’s website.
A Distant Fist Unclenching serves as the follow-up to 2014’s Steve Hears Pile In Malden and Bursts Into Tears EP and 2012’s Lucky Leaves LP. If you’ve been following Krill’s announcements the last few weeks, then it’s likely you’ve already been listening to “Torturer“, “Foot“, and their seven-minute epic “Tiger“. Somehow, by the power of the gods, the rest of the album is just as good as those singles. From the explosive energy on “Brain Problem” to the softer side of “It Ends” that we rarely see, their newest record sees them come into their own with confidence and (dare we say?) grace.
Stream the album over at NME. Don’t forget to pre-order it, too, because you’ll want to hug this one close to your chest and never let go.
