At long last, Stove, the latest project of Ovlov’s Steve Hartlett and newest hype machine for Exploding in Sound Records, have their debut record, Is Stupider, up and streaming over at The A.V. Club. For Ovlov fans left heartbroken after the band’s breakup back in March, Is Stupider picks up where Hartlett left off with Ovlov – still full of knotted, angular riffs and wry, self-conscious songwriting, but slightly less reverb-soaked than what we’ve seen of Hartlett’s work in the past.
